After the success of MUTRAP I and II, the EU continued implementing the MUTRAP III to further boost the economic integration of Vietnam after joining WTO.

From 2008 to 2012, Danson was enlisted to consult on the development of the entire identity for the Multilateral Trade Assistance Project EU-Vietnam MUTRAP III. From the logo of the project to the outdoor signage, brochures, publications and press launch, Danson consulted on each detail and played the lead role in the creation of all artwork.

In all four years of the project’s operation, events by MUTRAP III appeared on televisions as well as by the press, especially reputable newspapers in economics and commerce such as the Vietnam Economic Times, Saigon Economic Times, Vietnam Investment Review, Vietnam Business Forum… Through these mass media channels, the project’s coverage as well as the sphere of influence toward beneficiary agents and the public has been formed and expanded. A press network for the project’s communications has also been established and developed throughout the whole operation period. Component activities and elaborate media campaigns attracted more and more reporters and journalists each day. Aside from creating brand awareness for the project, Danson also organized many press conferences and workshops on trade promotion and related issues in order to boost up the process to sign the FTA between EU and Vietnam.

RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS ON CONSUMER RIGHTS LEGISLATION

The Law on Consumer Protection passed by the National Assembly consists of six chapters and 51 articles, covering almost every aspect of consumers’ rights protection. Agencies, associations, social organizations, businesses and consumers must become aware of the new Vietnamese law on consumer rights’ protection that came in to effect on July 1. The Law would be an effective legal tool to protect consumers from fraudulent practices.

Supported by MUTRAP III, Danson organized 3 workshops in HCM City, Da Nang and Ha Noi to give information to agencies, organizations and individuals nationwide on consumer rights legislation.

PROMOTING THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The seminar was jointly held by the EU - Vietnam Multilateral Trade Assistance Project MUTRAP III, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and VATAP in order to raise public awareness of the importance of intellectual property enforcement and the role of managing agencies, businesses, associations and individuals in enforcing the law and regulations on intellectual property.

RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON ANTI-COMPETITIVE PRACTICES

Danson was in charge of developing a detailed PR plan and organizing 5 workshops for EU-Vietnam Multilateral Trade Assistance Project (MUTRAP III) on the event of Raising awareness on Anti-competitive practices campaign. A final press conference to recap the campaign was held successfully. The event chaired by the Vice Minister of Industry and Trade and other experts took placed as planned with the attendance of renowned journalists from major publications of the country, making this campaign of MUTRAP III reach a much wider range of audience.

PROVIDING COMMUNICATION AND PR SERVICES FOR WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES OF EU-MUTRAP

The European Trade Policy and Investment Support Project (EU-MUTRAP) is a major trade-related assistance programme under the Commission’s Country Strategy Paper 2007-2013 and Multi-annual Indicative Programme 2011-2013 for Vietnam, with the aim to support the Ministry of Industry and Trade in facilitating sustainable international trade and investment through improved capacity for policy making, policy consultation, and the negotiation and implementation of related commitments, particularly vis-à-vis the EU.

DANSON HAS BEEN WORKING AS COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS ON TRADE POLICY ISSUES WITH AN EMPHASIS ON EU VISIBILITY.
