With the mission of protecting the health and lives of the Vietnamese people from the invisible harm of tobacco smoke, the ‘Smoke-free Vietnam’ communication campaign aims to build and strengthen broad societal consensus for the enactment and enforcement of the Tobacco Control Law in Vietnam in 2012. Since 2021, Danson has continued to support efforts to raise awareness about the harms of electronic cigarettes on health and the future of youth, while advocating for the Vietnamese government to ban the circulation of electronic cigarettes. Danson has undertaken the following activities:

  • Developing and expanding a network of journalists focused on tobacco control.
  • Building and growing community engagement through social media channels.
  • Transforming technical topics into content guidelines for the media and social media platforms.
  • Designing and implementing multi-platform communication campaigns targeting youth.
  • Establishing cooperative relationships with socio-political organizations to collaborate on communication campaigns
